Our approach

How We Work

AKS works with communities, parents, teachers, young people, women, and other stakeholders to identify barriers early and shape practical responses together. Our process is participatory, grounded, and adapted to what people in Zombo District say they need most.

We listen first, work collaboratively, and co-develop actions that respect local realities, responsibilities, and available resources.

Learn About Our Work
  • ✓ Community Participation

Community members help define challenges, priorities, and workable next steps from the beginning.

  • ✓ Volunteerism

Local volunteers support outreach, follow-up, and peer engagement so activities stay close to everyday realities.

  • ✓ Partnerships

AKS coordinates with schools, local leaders, civil society actors, and institutions to align effort and avoid duplication.

  • ✓ Accountability

Plans, roles, and expectations are communicated clearly so communities and partners can track what is being done.

  • ✓ Innovation

The team tests practical ideas, learns from feedback, and refines approaches to fit context rather than forcing templates.

  • ✓ Sustainability

Responses are designed for continuity by building local ownership, shared responsibility, and practical long-term habits.
